"Noticed that you were looking for pictures of Washington Elementary School. I don't have any but I did see one that showed a third floor. It was that way before we were there. A tornado took the top floor off and they just put a new roof on it."

Good Day,

How is everything with you, I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and deemed it necessary to write you immediately. I have something very vital to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on ( mr.jamespollard01@gmail.com ) for the full details.
Have a nice day
Thanks God bless.

Tom - I just wanted to say hello and see how you have been doing. I hope all is well with you.

I am hoping that we are finished with the triple digit weather and that Fall is just around the corner. It is my favorite time of year. So I am always more than ready to see the hot summer days turn into cooler autumn ones. We have had some great rain this year. Record breaking amounts in the past few days. The lakes, rivers and creeks are full!

My first year of the age 60 has been pretty good. Better than the alternative I am happy to say. I am in good health and still having fun, so I cannot ask for more than that.

Bob and I will be married 40 years! WOW! this September. He has planned a trip to Italy - Belagio, and on up into the other lake and mountain areas. I think it should be alot of fun and quite beautiful. We have spent some time in other parts of Italy before. Belagio is as far north as we have seen. We are going with some of our close friends we often travel with. We will be gone a couple of weeks the end of September. I will let you know the highlights.

Our kids and two grand daughters have come to spend time with us which we always look forward to. Lainey, 4 and Claire 2, are such sweethearts - I cannot get enough of those two. And it is one of the great rewards of parenthood when your children become adults and still enjoy spending time with you.

I am getting ready to go work out. But I just wanted to send you a note to let you know I was thinking good thoughts for you. I hope you have a GREAT Thursday!
Drop a line when you get a chance. You can always use my email if you would rather. bobandmelody@austin.rr.com Blessings! Melody

Tom - I hope that you had a blessed and great Birthday! We have been out of town with the kids in Houston for a few days. Just did not want to ignore your Birthday - I was thinking of you. I hope you had a Merry Christmas too! Missing your good stories! I hope all is well with you. Take care. Melody

Tom - Do you have problems sleeping too? I notice you are up late at night . Sleep has never been one of my better habits. When I was younger I would rather be up doing something and now that I know it is healthier to get a certain number of hours a night I cannot sleep sound.

I have to agree with Missy, you are a descriptive and interesting writer. I enjoy reading about your experiences. It is too bad that you keep to yourself so much because you have alot to offer to friends. Maybe you should think about trying to get out a little more and you might even decide that you enjoy it!

I took my ususal walk thru the hills this morning. It was so nice out - I love those walks. I worked after in some of my beds in the yard. You have to get out there early with the triple digit temperatures we are having. I do not enjoy HOT weather - I am looking so forward to Fall.

Yes, I definitely enjoy living in Austin over Houston anyday. I was always ready to leave Houston for somewhere else not so big. But it is easy to get stuck somewhere when you are raising children. I can be a happy person regardless of where I am. That is a true blessing from God!

Well, I better get something done around here today. Just wanted to respond back to your email. Tom, have a great Saturday! Melody

I had a secret desire to be a race car driver. I was just taking lessons from you!
I am reading The Little Giant of Aberdeen County. I read a chapter last night about Viet Nam. It took me back to remembering friends who went.
Sorry about the PTSD, but glad the government acknowledged the problem, and stepped forward to do something.

So good to hear from you! Wish you would come to our luncheons or reunion. We had some great times together. Remember the night we ran into the curb on Haskell Blvd and "fixed" the steering on the old black
"Edmondson" car?
We live at Pettit Bay on Lake Tenkiller. If you ever come fishing around there, look us up on Bayside Lane.

That is a cool story. One of my favorite pictures of me was standing on the north shore in mid-spring 1972. We lived in Waipahu so didn't make it to the north shore often. We were stationed there from Feb 1971 (right after the LA earthquake) until 1974, then sent back to El Toro HQ 3MAW this time. Joe got out in 1975 - with 9 years in - didn't think too highly of spending the next 5 years in DC!

If you were in Phu Bai in July, 1969, and Hawaii, in late 69 or  early 70 - then you probably crossed paths with my ex- he was in HML 367 (Scarface) from right after tet in 68 until @ April 69 - went home for a month and back until Nov69.  We met in So Cal in early 70 while he was stationed at EL Toro - I never did figure out how he went from Huey's (crew chief) to F-4's (operations)  and then to HQ FMFPAC  MGT at Camp Smith.  (Too many years later I made some connections that a little Okie from Muskogee female wasn't supposed to be able to figure out what kind of operations).  Maybe it was the "new math" that taught me to figure that 2+2=4 and not "5" like THEY kept trying to tell us!

He was from New Jersey and I didn't learn that DamnYankee was two words UNTIL After we were married!  (And don't ask what I was doing in So. Cal after I dropped out of Baylor!)
