Mr Shelton (Spanky)

I heard that Mr. Shelton (David W) whom was sometimes called Spanky is not doing well.  He was an AR PE teacher and HS wrestling coach among other jobs.  He would probably appreciate hearing from some of his former students about how he inspired them

November 22, 1963

Just remembering this date 1963. Standing outside of the gym at AR after lunch when Mr. Abbott announce for us to return to our classrooms as Pres Kennedy had been shot. Then the stunned silence in Mrs. Sharp's math class as we waited for the dreaded announcement. Wondering who was in that class?

Jiminy Cricket flicks

Anyone got a story about the jiminy cricket morality pieces they used to show us in grade school and at AR when we would have some kind of assembly in the auditorium? I guess today we would call them videos - but I hesitated to use that term in reference to the retro moment.
